The tiger prawn is a common prawn that is found in the Torres Strait waters and right down the waters of both the east and west coasst of Australia. The tiger prawn remains plentiful in the waters surrounding my home of Badu Island. When we are out spearing at night shining the spotlight, I'd always see plenty of tiger prawns and always spear some to take home.
