This print tells time of mating turtles when the Gargarrau Kosah (eucalptus) tree flowers, it is known in the TSI culture that the turtle mating season is coming.
The Biru Biru (Spintail) flys from PNG through the straits to Australia. Turtles start mating in september to october.
The circle on the corner of the print is a calendar.
The arrows represent the Kulis (tide with the wind) and Gutath (tide against the wind)
The design between the two arrows tells the phases of the moon. The first and second quarter. The new moon and the fall moon which is associated with the tides.
The circle around the Biru Biru are turtle eggs.
